Soft and Fluffy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Soft and Fluffy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Sharing is caring!

You should feel honored that I’m actually going to share my chocolate chip cookie recipe.  I have quite the reputation in the neighborhood for my cookies!  So much so that I’ve started making lots of dough and freezing it so that I can make them upon request.

Soft and Fluffy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
1.5 cup butter flavored shortening
1.5 cup white sugar
1.5 brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1.5 teaspoon baking soda
1.5 teaspoon salt
2 cups mini chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 F. The absolute key here is to use a silicone baking mat.  If you don’t have one, get one.  They are about $10 and make everything from cookies to biscuits better, trust me on this one!

In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well with each addition.  Stir in the vanilla, flour, baking soda and salt.  Fold in the chocolate chips and you know how to do the rest. Bake for 8 – 10 minutes or until golden brown.

This recipe is exactly what I have been looking for. They are soft & fluffy. They do not flatten out as they cool. Very good. Thank you for these delicious cookies.
